YMCA Sponsors Clean-up in Temescal Gateway Park

Palisades Village One-Year Birthday Celebration

YMCA Clean-up Day

Join residents and community members in beautifying Temescal Gateway Park from 9 to 11:30 a.m. this Saturday, September 21, at 15551 Sunset (corner of Temescal Canyon Road and Sunset).

Palisades-Malibu YMCA Board member Maryam Zar wrote: “This [the clean-up] happens each year in September as a tradition that helps people young and old come together and take part in something great.

“Not only is it fun in the sun, it’s also meaningful community service that’s Palisades centered,” she said. “I hope everyone comes out to join the YMCA as we participate in National CleanUp Day.”

Volunteers are reminded to wear comfortable shoes, bring water, a hat and sunscreen. To volunteer, visit: https://ymcala.volunteermatters.org/project-catalog/591 or contact YMCA Executive Director Jim Kirtley (310) 454-5591 or email JimKirtley@ymcala.org.
