Seven Arrow’s Elementary Students Lead Treeams

The historic Aldersgate Lodge will be open to the community January 7.

Seven Arrow’s Elementary students are leading a movement to rebuild Pacific Palisades, greener and healthier for everyone through Treeams (Trees + Dreams). The idea came to the students as they brainstormed ideas to combine, healing, hope and action.

Treeams empowers students to come together across the city to plant trees, restore optimism, and reimagine Los Angeles as a greener, more resilient city for generations to come.

All residents are invited to join students at the school, from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Aldersgate Historic House located at 925 Haverford Ave in Pacific Palisades to ask questions about what trees to plant.

Students remind everyone that planting trees in a neighborhood is crucial because they clean air and water, cool cities by reducing the “urban heat island” effect, save energy, control stormwater runoff, prevent erosion, boost mental and physical health, enhance property values, and provide vital habitats for wildlife, while making areas more beautiful and livable.

“We believe in healing through connections: creating spaces where students, families, and organizations come together in partnership; encourage joy, connection, and resilience through meaningful engagement with nature,” students say. Treeams is in partnership with the Palisades Forestry Corporation, Pacific Palisades Historical Society, Jane Goodall Foundation, UCLA Dept of Education, Seven Arrows Elementary and Little Dolphins Preschool.
