This drill rig was at the 1525 Palisades Drive site, trying to determine the depth of the fill.

Proposed Highlands Eldercare Facility Update

The Pacific Palisades Residents Association will hold a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at the Santa Ynez Rec Center, 17005 Palisades Circle, to cover the latest updates on the proposed eldercare facility in the upper Highlands.

Most recently there was drilling on the site and Circling the News asked SASSAN Geosciences about the reason for drilling. President Sassan Salehipour replied, “We are trying to determine the fill depth by additional drilling.”

The 43,033-sq.-ft. vacant lot at 1525 Palisades Drive is the proposed site for a four-story eldercare facility (including a two-level subterranean parking structure and swimming pool).

Councilman Mike Bonin has been invited to Thursday’s meeting.
