The Pacific Palisades Historical Society will hold its annual holiday celebration from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, at the Aldersgate Retreat Center, 925 Haverford.
The social hour starts at 6 p.m. and a lite buffet dinner will begin at 7 p.m. There will be dessert and music. Last chance to buy a ticket is December 3.
Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online at PacificPalisadesHistory.org or you can mail a check to the Pacific Palisades Historical Society, P.O. Box 1299, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272.
The Historical Society was founded in 1972 and the membership works to 1) locate and collect local historical material; 2) landmark local sites and buildings of historical significance; 3) publish books related to the history of Pacific Palisades and 4) provide educational programs on the historical heritage of the town.
The Historical Society has archived and catalogued over 3,000 historical photos that are housed at the Santa Monica Public Library and facilitated the transfer of the Marquez Family Photography Collection to the Huntington Library in Pasadena.
