Pali Strong Hosts Community Event May 6

Pali Strong is hosting an evening for friends and neighbors from Pacific Palisades to Malibu to Altadena/Pasadena/Sierra Madre to reconnect. The event will take place, from 5 to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 at the Santa Monica Pier.

“In the wake of the fires that changed our lives, we invite you to join us for a special evening at the Santa Monica Pier dedicated exclusively to the survivors,” said Larry Vein, Pali Strong founder. From 7:30 to 8:30 there will be esteemed leaders and hero’s awards given. “This night is about us—a time for unity, joy, and celebrating the unbreakable spirit of our community, as we come together to heal and reconnect.”

Parking is available in beach lot 1 (below the Pier $15) and at nearby parking structures. The emcee for the event will be Jimmy Dunne. Organizers remind people that “This event is exclusively for fire victims. Come prepared to smile. Come prepared to hug friends you haven’t seen in some time. Leave all your worries behind for this one night—we gather, Pali Strong.”

There will be a handprint unity wall, where guests will dip their hands in paint and leave the print on a large banner – creating a visual representation of their unity and commitment to rebuilding.

A Pali Strong time capsule will be assembled and each attendee is asked to bring a small personal item, note or memento to be placed inside a sealed time capsule that will be permanently stored in the Palisades.

A filming history booth will allow people to share a personal experience of the Palisades Fires. Those voices will become part of a collective archive, ensuring our community’s history is never forgotten.

People will be able to make a personalized tile that will be placed on a future wall in the Palisades (this is for Pacific Palisades residents only). RSVP click here.
