Pop-up Book Sale Scheduled for Friday, Sept. 13
Pacific Palisades residents have been so generous that the Friends of the Library, which organizes slightly-used book sales, is overwhelmed with donated books.
There is NO MORE storage space available, so NO books were accepted during August and that policy has been extended into September. Residents might check with other local libraries, such as Venice and Brentwood, to see if they are accepting books.
There will be a pop-up book sale on Friday, September 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Palisades Library community room, 861 Alma Real.
There will be a large selection of gently-used fiction, non-fiction, art books, coffee table books, cookbooks and children’s books…at bargain prices!
Proceeds help the Library purchase books, research material and other items the branch would not otherwise be able to offer.
And. . .if you buy a few books, there will be more storage room for the books you’d like to donate in October.
