Many Pacific Palisades may remember the Chamber of Commerce Auto Show, which was held in the Village in the 1990s. The L.A. Times in April 17, 1999, noted “The Lexus version of ’32 roadster can be seen at the 4th Annual Pacific Palisades Auto Show on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is at Sunset Boulevard and Swarthmore Avenue in Pacific Palisades.
Now, event organizer David O’Connell, with help from the PaliBu Chamber of Commerce, Cadillac of Beverly Hills, O’Gara Coach, Palisades Estates, and Crown Classics & Exotics is bringing in inaugural Pacific Palisades Motor Classic back on June 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The show will be hosted by renowned Automotive Personality and Hollywood Car Designer Fireball Tim Lawrence, bringing his signature energy and passion to the event. Lawrence had designed vehicles for hundreds of major movies, TV and commercials. He’s hosted some of the biggest Automative Shows for Discovery, TLC and Speed.
“This will certainly be a unique experience, bringing to light the challenges that Pacific Palisades has had to overcome from recent events. But bouncing back is what Californians do, and I’m grateful to be celebrating that strength with an amazing experience,” Lawrence said. When not designing for film, Fireball’s company Fireball Tim Garage creates the World’s Best Automotive Pop Culture Art.
Designed to celebrate automotive excellence and community spirit, the Palisades event promises a dynamic and luxurious experience for enthusiasts and families alike.
The Pacific Palisades Motor Classic will showcase over 200 exceptional vehicles, spanning rare exotics, vintage classics, and modern performance icons. Attendees will enjoy a selection of sponsor exhibits, interactive displays, and a luxurious VIP hospitality tent, offering an elevated experience for guests seeking premium amenities.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Pacific Palisades Motor Classic as a new cornerstone event for car lovers and the local community,” O’Connell said. “With an incredible lineup of vehicles, premium experiences, and strong sponsor support, this will be a must-attend event for enthusiasts of all ages.”
O’Connell, a Palisadian, who lost his home in the fire said that the Motor Classic “aims to establish itself as a Signature Annual Gathering, blending automotive culture with the scenic beauty and the vibrant atmosphere of Pacific Palisades.”
Proceeds from the event will go to the Emily Shane Foundation which promotes and supports traffic safety on the Pacific Coast Highway.
