Fifth Annual Christmas Radio Show

Theatre Palisades Actors’ Troupe will present their fifth annual Christmas Radio Show Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” tomorrow, Wednesday, December 12.

The evening starts with holiday refreshments in the lobby at 7 p.m. and the performance will follow at 7:30 p.m. The radio play, which generally lasts about an hour, is free, but donations are accepted.

The performers are asking that audience members bring canned goods, which can be donated to the Westside Food Bank.

If you’ve never been to a radio play, it’s fascinating watching the Foley artists produce the sounds of footsteps, coal being shoveled in a stove, coins falling and eerie wind sounds. It takes the audience back to a different era, before television.

The performers promise there will be a special visitor from the North Pole.
