At Annual Santa Monica Canyon Meeting
The 73nd annual meeting of the Santa Monica Canyon Civic Association will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at the Rustic Canyon Recreation Center, 601 Latimer Rd.
Refreshments and the opportunity to meet the board will start at 7 p.m., followed by the program at 7:30 p.m., with board elections for a term ending 2020. The guest speakers will be L.A. City Councilman Mike Bonin and West Los Angeles Fire Chief Armando Hogan, who will speak on wildfire safety.
Table-top displays will include the Rustic Canyon Clubhouse restoration plans, the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness, park activities, the Rustic Nights Gala and historic photos.
