On Monday, Palisades Garden Club speaker Mayita Dinos will talk about the work she did in designing Arlington Garden in Pasadena. This is the Labyrinth at that garden.

Landscape Designer Mayita Dinos to Speak Here

The Pacific Palisades Garden Club will feature well-known landscape designer Mayita Dinos at its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5, at the Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club, 901 Haverford Ave.

Dinos will speak about the work and design she did for the Arlington Garden in Pasadena, sharing her design inspirations and the details which focus on creating a water-wise garden.

For the past 20 years, Dinos has been designing gardens for Southern California’s Mediterranean climate. The 3-acre botanical garden is Pasadena’s only dedicated free public garden, open seven days a week during daylight hours.

Dino’s garden designs capture the essence of California living: indoor/outdoor rooms that extend beyond the walls of your home.

A Pasadena Garden Tour booklet notes: “And of the few, only a small number are successful at creating landscapes that suit the community, honor the place, and are flexible enough to evolve with the demands of time. Of this small number of designers, Mayita Dinos sits firmly and comfortably on the list due to her involvement at Arlington Garden in Pasadena.”

The public is welcome and there will be light refreshments after the program. Visit: pacpalgardenclub.org.
