In spite of Palisades Elementary students attending Brentwood Elementary while their school is rebuilt after the fire, nothing will stop the school’s annual Yee Haw Days, which this year will be held from 11:30 to 6 p.m. on October 18.
This fun fall community event was started by resident (and former PaliHi drama teacher) Nancy Fracchiolla in 2004, when her children attended Pali.
In 2022, Principal Juliet Herman explained “Yeehaw represents the best of our Pali Elementary community, and it brings together parents and children to celebrate community spirit. Some people believe this to be a fundraiser– it’s not. It’s a community builder. It’s an irreplaceable tradition.”
Kids have lot of fun, parents chat, and money is raised for to fund critical programs such as art and PE.
This year parents need help. They are planning an online auction to be held from October 13-19, and they are looking for larger-ticket items, such as vacation home packages, sporting event tickets, concert tickets and unique experiences.
They are also asking businesses to consider donating products or services. The donation deadline is October 6 and those donating will receive a letter with tax information.
