Numerous homes in the Castellammare section of the Palisades were destroyed and need to be rebuilt.
The Castellammare Homeowner’s Board President Kim Feder has announced there will be a Town Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at the community room in the Santa Monica YMCA, 1332 6th Street in Santa Monica. There is free parking under the YMCA building. Please RSVP so that the appropriate amount of food and beverages can be ordered. The meeting has been opened to the community.
The Agenda will include Councilmember Traci Park and State Senator Ben Allen.
Park, Allen and resident Bart Young will each speak on methods to fund infrastructure improvement. “It’s important that we all understand the different proposals/options, how they help the community and affect residents,” Feder said.
After lunch, David Barret, the executive director of MysafeLA.org, will speak on making homes fire safe. Rico Jaeggi, a representative from BuildCover a builder of fire-resistant homes will share strategies on fire resistant home building.
