The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has scheduled overnight lane closures for northbound and southbound State Route 1 (Pacific Coast Highway / PCH) from north of Corral Canyon Road to south of the Malibu Beach RV Park for utility work by SoCalGas Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will only be one lane open in each direction. Lane closures are subject to change.
All lanes will reopen at the end of each shift.
Caltrans Public Information Officer Marc Bischoff said “This overall project will repair or replace a total of twelve drainage culverts along PCH from south of Temescal Canyon Road to the Ventura County line and convert a culvert at Corral Canyon Road into a bridge to allow ocean salmon to swim upstream.”
The project is expected to continue through summer of 2029. Look for other closures on this road. The contractor on the project is Security Paving Company, Inc. Please drive through construction zones with caution.
