Special Hearing to Discuss Burn Debris on Properties

The debris remaining after the Palisades Fire has never been removed from Palisades Bowl, a mobile home park,  which provided low-income housing in Pacific Palisades.

The Board of Building and Safety Commissioners will hold a special hearing at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, at 201 North Figueroa Street, Room 900.

Public nuisance hearings will be held on the properties in Pacific Palisades that have not been cleared of debris.

According to Traci Park’s public spokesperson Pete Brown, inspectors went to Pacific Palisades on Friday to determine if the properties had been cleaned.

“At the hearing the following determination will be made: The Department of Building and Safety (LADBS) requests that the Board of Building and Safety Commissioners (BBSC) determine that the property, a fire-damaged structure with fire debris remaining on the site, constitute a public nuisance.”

The following properties will be discussed at this meeting:

  1. 15314 Antioch Street. Owner Security Pacific National Bank TR – Lee, Frank Decd Est of et Al.
  2. 15300 Antioch Street. Owner Security Pacific National Bank TR – Lee, Frank Decd Est of et Al.
  3. 1601 North San Onofre Drive. Owner South Dakota Trust CO LLC TR Avocado Trust.
  4. 556 North Via de la Paz. Owner SP Palisades.
  5. 16321 West Coast Pacific Coast Highwy. Owner Pacific Palisades Bowl Mobile States Del LLC
  6. 16815 West Bollinger Drive. Owner Robert A. Assil
  7. 16525 West Sunset Boulevard. Owner Sunset View Apartments Family Partnership
  8. 17311 West Castellammare Drive. Owner Jerome J Nash TR J Nash Trust

    I’m not holding my breath, but hopefully they will clean up those buildings sooner rather than later.
