Start your Thanksgiving morning with a run through Pacific Palisades – and 2,000 of your best friends.
It is the 11th Annual Palisades Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 27, with the official start time 8:15 a.m. Online registration and day of registration closes 15 minutes before the race.
On a new course this year, 5/10K Runners start and finish at the Palisades Village Green the triangular park located at Swarthmore, Sunset and Antioch Street. The 10K course will be a second loop of the 5K course. The run, which goes through the Via de las Olas bluffs neighborhood, has been approved with help from Councilmember Traci Park’s office.
Packet Pick-Up will be at Vons Supermarket, at Sunset and PCH, in the three days leading up to the event — Monday (November 24), Tuesday (November 25) and Wednesday (November 26). Event organizers strongly urge runners to pick up early to avoid lines on Thanksgiving morning.
Fast runners to the front. Slower runners and walkers (and strollers) please move to the back. Dogs are allowed this year. Please clean up after your dog and be mindful of other runners. Medals, bananas and water will be available at the finish line and medical staff will be on-site.
“Each year the Palisades Turkey Trot grows bigger and better, and this year’s new 5K course makes it extra special,” said David O’Connell, event co-founder. “It’s the perfect way for families and friends to start their Thanksgiving morning with fun, fitness, and community spirit.”
“This year’s event is less about running or walking and more about starting Thanksgiving Day with a stronger resolve to rebuild after the devastating Palisades fire. The rebuild will take years of effort, but XBP Global is proud to walk alongside Palisadians, ensuring traditions like the Turkey Trot keep hope alive while the hard work continues,” said Andrej Jonovic, CEO of XBP Global.
The Palisades Turkey Trot is made possible by generous support from presenting sponsor XBP Global.

The charities that will benefit this year from registration fees are Day of Giving and Live Like Braun/Run Like Braun.
The Live Like Braun Foundation celebrates the enduring spirit and legacy of Braun Levi, whose life tragically ended at the age of 18 by an alleged drunk driver. The Live Like Braun Foundation keeps Braun’s legacy alive through awareness-raising and grant making in three areas – scholarships, repair and building of public tennis centers, and raising awareness about impaired driving risks.click here.
