These are just a few of the activities available at the Pacific Paliades Friends and Newcomers club.
Like so many organizations after the Palisades Fire, the Pacific Palisades Friends and Newcomers club’s activities were put on hold.
“Happy Days” are here again, as the club plans to restart activities in September.
The club is primarily a ladies group that promotes friendships and neighborliness through participation in a very wide range of interests and activities. The organization welcomes newcomers, old-timers and empty-nesters.
There’s art, Bridge games, book discussions, coffee hours, luncheons and exploring L.A. To see the many options, visit the web site, https://www.pacificpalisadesnewcomers.com/
Membership is $25 per year, and Membership is open to old and new residents of Pacific Palisades and neighboring areas (Malibu, Brentwood, Santa Monica and Topanga). Members say, “We welcome you!”
My mom was a member of Newcomers back in the 60s…they did all sorts of events and outreach to young and old. Mom is 97 now and though she lost all she had in the fire she still thinks back about the good old days at the beach, tennis ladders at the park and lunch at Art Pooles or The Hot Dog Show.
