Last year, after Christmas trees stands were placed on the trees, they were being watered to keep them fresh. Workers are needed this year to help in the YMCA Christmas Tree lot.
The Lowe Family YMCA in Pacific Palisades, annually has a YMCA Christmas Tree lot, with Christmas trees set to arrive on November 23.
The Palisades YMCA Executive Director Jim Kirtley is looking for help and writes, “I wonder if CTN could get the word out to anyone who might want to make a little extra money for the holiday.”
He is looking for people to work starting today to help prepare Simon Meadow, unload trees and help customers. Workers are needed through December 31, to help with cleanup. Of course, Thanksgiving is a holiday, and no one will be working that day.
Once the tree lot is open, starting November 28, through December 19, hours are Monday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
Workers will receive a minimum wage, plus tips. A delivery driver (must have own truck) is also needed and will receive minimum wage, plus tips and milage.
If you know anyone with a truck or van please send them here. (Construction workers, gardeners etc. are also great candidates.) click here.
