Free Concert Featuring Chamber Music Palisades September 27

The free concert will feature the Zelter STring Quartet.

 

Chamber Music Palisades will begin its 29th season with a free concert at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.

The program features the artistry of flutist Susan Greenberg and the award-winning Zelter String Quartet. Based in L.A., members include Kyle Gilner, Gallia Kastner, Carson Rick and Allan Hon

The program includes beloved masterpieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Ravel, and a vivacious modern piece, City of Angels, by Los Angeles composer, Todd Mason.

The concert will be held at the Brentwood Presbyterian Church at 12000 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, 90049 (corner of Bundy and San Vicente). Free parking is available in the underground parking lot located off Bundy, on the east side, between San Vicente and Montana Ave. The entrance to the concert is the door closest to the corner of San Vicente and Bundy, facing San Vicente. Reservations are not needed. This concert is graciously sponsored by Department of Cultural Affairs, City of Los Angeles.

Music for 29th Season Announced:

Co-founder of Chamber Music Palisades Susan Greenberg said, “We are pleased to announce our 29th season of exciting chamber music! Our roster of musicians includes the New Hollywood String Quartet, the Los Angeles Wind and Piano Sextet, the harpist from the Hollywood Bowl and LA Philharmonic, and a trio of violin, viola, and flute. Join us for works by Bach, Haydn, Brahms, Ravel, Gershwin, Childs, and Broughton, along with a world premiere by local film composer Lolita Ritmanis.

The ever-popular Alan Chapman, who has been our commentator since our inception 29 years ago, will be joining us once again this season.

The season brochure and season subscriptions are now on sale at cmpalisades.org.  Subscribe to all four Wednesday night concerts, October 8, December 3, February 4, 2026 and April 15 2026 and save $20, or only $120 for the season.  Tickets will be available at Will Call at the first concert.

Tickets for individual concerts can also be purchased online and at the door, for $35.  Full-time students with a valid school ID are free click here.

The first concert of the season is October 8, 2025, at our new venue, Brentwood Presbyterian Church, at San Vicente and Bundy.  Free parking is available off Bundy. Please note our new time, 7:30 p.m.

Chamber Music Palisades was founded in 1997 by four citizens of the Los Angeles coastal community of Pacific Palisades, including two professional musicians, Chamber Music Palisades is a non-profit, public benefit corporation dedicated to the promotion and support of classical music.
