Fire Recovery “Pop-Up”  Saturday, November 22

The Recovery Pop-Up will be held at American Legion Post 283.

A Palisades Recovery Pop-Up is being held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, November 22 at 15247 L.A. Cruz Drive at Ronald Reagan American Legion Post 283. There will be complimentary food and refreshments during the day.

The event is held especially for Fire Survivors and will include distribution of items such a shoes, sportswear, hygiene items, makeup and even . . .turkeys.

In the Legion Hall, there will be local resource and service providers. There will be a kid’s zone and music. Health and wellness workshops, that include CPR, acupuncture and medical support, will also be available.

The event is being sponsored by Rotary District 5280, GEM and the Palisades Long-term Recovery Group (Home – Pali LTRG). GEM is a nonprofit providing disaster relief, recovery and rebuilding. From emergency aid to housing and job support, “we help families rebuild long after the headline fade” (info@gem.org).

    Is proof of residency required?

    Jim,

    I was told that if you tell your address, it would be sufficient–but I never trust that–I would bring a utility bill or driver’s license.
