There has been much speculation about a grocery store returning to the center of Pacific Palisades, with one piece of gossip assuring everyone that a mini-Gelson’s would open in the Erewhon space.
Caruso’s media company Nike Communications sent an update December 18 saying that Erewhon was returning to its space on Sunset in Caruso’s Palisades Village and planned to reopen in August 2026. Erewhon, which is family-owned Certified B Corp and Certified Organic, will return as the anchor grocer, café and tonic bar in Palisades Village.
“Reconstruction is already underway, including an entirely new store build-out and an extended version of the original patio space,” a Caruso spokesperson said.
“Bringing Erewhon back to Palisades Village is a major step forward for the entire community,” said Jackie Levy, Caruso Chief Financial and Revenue Officer. “We are committed to rebuilding not just the property, but the spirit and long-term health of the Palisades community we’re proud to serve.”
Tony Antoci, Erewhon CEO and Co-founder said, “We’re honored to join the incredible effort underway at Palisades Village. Our team believes deeply in showing up for our communities, and reopening is a meaningful way for us to contribute to the healing and renewal of this neighborhood.”
Erewhon is known for its strict quality standards, sustainable practices and 100% organic produce. Many Palisadians were fond of the prepared meals, sandwiches, smoothies and snacks that were available. Erewhon
In addition to reopening in August in Pacific Palisades, Erewhon will also open in West Hollywood in February 2026, Glendale in May 2026, and Caruso’s The Lakes at Thousand Oaks in July 2026.
