“Disney’s Descendants: The Musical” Opens this Weekend

These talented youth actors/singers are waiting to entertain you.

Director Lara Ganz and Co-Director and Choreographer Rebecca Brancato Barragan lead a cast of 35 youth actors in the delightful musical Disney’s Descendants: The Musical, which opens Friday, July 11, at 7 p.m. at Paul Revere Middle School auditorium, 1450 Allenford Ave.

Theatre Palisades Youth, who annually perform a summer show at Pierson Playhouse, are unable to perform at that venue because the theater burned during the Palisades Fire.

Now in conjunction with Revere School’s PEP (Personal Enrichment Program), the talent youth, ages 8 to 14, perform hit songs Rotten to the Core, Evil Like Me, Ways To Be Wicked, Chillin’ Like a Villain and Space Between.

This show is for all ages and is largely entertaining. The Disney princes, princesses, and heroes that people know and love are living happily in the Kingdom of Auradon. Meanwhile, the iconic Disney villains are banished to the wretched Isle of the Lost.

When the children of Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, Jafar, and the Evil Queen are invited to attend Auradon Prep School, this next generation of villains must decide whether to walk in their parents’ wicked footsteps or redefine their legacies.

Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a stage adaptation of the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, featuring a book and additional lyrics by Nick Blaemire, and a contemporary pop score adapted by Madeline Smith and orchestrated by Matthew Tishler.
