Join Theatre Palisades Actors’ Troupe in enjoying a special presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, as a radio show, on Wednesday, December 17.
This is the 12th year that actors have brought the holiday spirit to theater goers with a free performance of a holiday classic as a radio play that will be performed at the Morgan-Wixson Theater at 2627 Pico Boulevard, Santa Monica, 90405.
The evening starts with holiday refreshments in the lobby at 7 p.m. (Troupe founder Martha Hunter’s mulled wine is not to be missed.) The performance will follow at 7:30 p.m.
The radio play generally lasts about an hour and is fascinating to watch as Foley artists produce the sounds of footsteps, coal being shoveled into a stove, coins falling and eerie wind sounds.
Donations are appreciated and will go towards the Theatre Palisades Building Fund, to replace Pierson Playhouse, which was destroyed in the January 7 Fire. The performers are asking that audience members bring canned goods, which can be donated to the Westside Food Bank.
Mrs. Claus and the elves generally stop by to help with a raffle of some tantalizing gifts – which are given to lucky guests. Visit: theatrepalisades.com or visit: (310) 454-1970.
