The Elizabeth Lamont Store and Design Studio reopened its doors yesterday October 30, making it one of the first retail stores to open on the Village side of Sunset after the January 2025 Palisades Fire.
“After the devastating fires in early 2025 necessitated a temporary closure, we are back, ready and excited to serve our community once again,” owner Elizabeth Lamont wrote CTN.
During remediation after the Palisades Fire, people had to throw furniture, pillows, blankets and rugs from standing homes and apartments. As people return, it is the perfect time to seek out Lamont’s advice and update one’s space. For those who are looking forward to finishing construction in the next year, Lamont will be there to assist in replanning interior rooms.
Lamont’s passion has aways been underpinned by the spirit of “The Beautiful Life.”
In a note to the community Lamont wrote, “When the fires struck, they took more than our physical space: they challenged our sense of place and community. In the face of loss, we committed ourselves to rising together.
“Living ‘the beautiful life’ isn’t just about beautiful spaces—it’s about choosing hope, resilience, community connection and renewal,” she said. “With heart and humility, we have worked behind the scenes to rebuild our store, refresh our design studio, refresh our vision—and to ensure that when you walk through our doors, you feel welcomed, inspired and supported.”
Lamont also wanted to thank everyone who expressed kindness, called, sent messages of support, and kept faith during the closure—”thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
