Pacific Palisades Town Update

The floors, ceilings and walls have been redone. Shelves are in place and just need to be stocked.

Today in the window of CVS, was the sign that they were reopening August 25, a quick glance in the store saw shelves were in place. It will be valuable to have a pharmacy in town, and also a place to pick up essentials, such as cough syrup, toilet paper, etc. without having to drive out of town. It is rumored that the Post Office may also reopen in August.

Bocce Update

Today at the Hive, Jimmy Dunne announced that there are plans to have bocce back in the park by the end of August. He also shared this video he did with resident Norm Beegum click here.

Businesses Open

Businesses open include restaurants: Prima Cantina, Chipotle, Palisades Garden Café, Spruzzo, Moku and Gladstones.  The Starbucks at Palisades Drive and Sunset Boulevard will reopen next week, July 28.  Vons is open and the produce section is full, and the meat selection continues to expand – plus if you register one can get discounts on a lot of items.

Palisades Vet is reopened, as is Dr. Gary Pollan and Dr. Damon Raskin.

There are three gas stations opened, and the Palisades Pit Stop has expanded hours for car washing/cleaning.

If CTN has forgotten a business, please email editor@circlingthenews.com and I’ll update the list.

Joe Halper

This CTN editor had a lovely lunch with Highlands resident Joe Halper, who lost everything in the fire, and is now in Playa Vista. He continues to ask questions about the fire and is helping CTN with research.

    Ms. Pascoe,
I just saw your piece on ‘Fox 11″ re-published on X, and I found it both heartbreaking and infuriating. Thank you so much for being one working to make things right in your community and having the bravery to ‘tell truth to power’.
I will be praying for you and your endeavors in rooting out this corruption, and also for your strength.
    May God Bless You.
