The car was washed and buffed and looked brand new after being worked on at the newly reopened Palisades Pit Stop.
BUILDER/BUYER INFO WEBSITE:
An interesting website founded by Palisadian Frank Renfro, is one residents might like to view click here. He told CTN that “I built a website to see building and buying information for the Palisades. I’d like to add additional helpful information, but don’t know what people want. For example, we can help review bids, plans, connect people and obtain bids.
Go to his website and you can learn the top five builders working in the Palisades based on the number of unique addresses are:
- Drexel Construction Management LLC – 4 unique addresses
- T J C Home Builders LLC – 3 unique addresses
- Ortam Construction Inc – 3 unique addresses
- Lush Remodeling & Development Inc – 3 unique addresses
- DHJ Inc – 3 unique addresses
The site also lists the average approval time for new building permits and the top five most active buyers in Pacific Palisades following the January 7 Palisades Fire. On the site, tell Renfro what you think is helpful.
CAR WASH/PIT STOP
Yesterday, this editor stopped by the Palisades Pit Stop, directly behind The Garden Café. Luckily, they had an open slot, and the car went in for a quick car wash. It came out shining!
Today owner Kevin Miller wrote, “I’m happy to share that our first two weeks have been incredibly busy! We’ve had a steady flow of visitors, and so many people have expressed how thrilled they are that we’re back. The response has been truly heartwarming.”
With the high demand, the Pit Stop is expanding hours and will now be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. People can book online at PalisadesPitstop.com or call (310) 573-9274 or stop in anytime.
STARBUCKS OPENING :
A reader alerted CTN and other Palisadians that the popular Starbucks at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive will be reopening on July 28. The patio was a favorite meeting place for many.
The Palisades is starting to be a great place to be with so many good places to eat: Prima Catina, Spruzzo’s, Moku, Gladstones (and Palisades Garden Café and Chipotle), and: returning services, Palisades Pit Stop, Optometrist Gary Polan, Dr. Damon Raskin, and Von’s Grocery Store (and of course a gas station right in town). My dog Shadow was diagnosed with bronchitis at Pali Vet on Via de la Paz (yes, they’re back and taking patients) and is much better.
It is slowly beginning to feel like we’re getting our town back. With the Ronald Reagan American Legion Post 283 providing meeting space, and the playground waiting to be dedicated – and CVS and the Post Office most likely opening in August, it is all so hopeful.
PACIFIC PALISADES AND CTN EDITOR ON FRENCH TV:
On June 27, CTN received the following email “My name is Pierrick Leurent, I am the Los Angeles correspondent for the international news network FRANCE 24 and I am working on a TV story about the Pacific Palisades rebuilding efforts, 6 months on. I know you have been following very closely every step of the recovery efforts and I would love to get in touch with you, and hear your point of view on how the process has been for Palisades residents.”
This editor gave him the names of several people to talk to and invited him to the going-away “party” for Colonel Eric Swenson in the Village Green. Afterwards, this editor drove him around Pacific Palisades.
On July 9, he wrote “Please find below the link to the France 24 TV report: https://www.france24.com/en/tv-shows/focus/20250709-six-months-after-los-angeles-wildfires-displaced-residents-still-dealing-with-trauma

“Feel free to share these links, and I hope you enjoy the report,” he said.
