Chris Untiet, the director of Faith Relations for Habitat for Humanity, sent this information to residents Carol Sanborn and Carmen Kelbert. “I wanted to be sure and pass along our most current information of ways Habitat for Humanity LA is supporting wildfire victims through such things like short term housing vouchers, smoke remediation, home repairs, rebuilding, gap financing, and replacement items through our ReStore.
“Please feel free to pass along to anyone in the Corpus/Palisades community that you think could make use of it,” Untiet said. “We are here for the long haul as the recovery enters its next phases. Bless you both and wishing you a peaceful weekend ahead.”
The flyer notes that “Habitat LA is here to support those impacted by the Palisades and Eaton fires, offering assistance to repair and rebuild homes, restore stability, and help families recover. We will prioritize support for low-income households that are uninsured, underinsured, or most vulnerable. While the road to recovery will be long, Habitat LA is dedicated to being with you every step of the way. Together, we can rebuild stronger, safer communities for all.”
