An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at the Ronald Reagan American Legion Post 283, 15247 La Cruz Drive, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.
Donors can sign up to give blood – about a pint of “whole blood” is given and the blood donation takes about an hour. All blood types are needed.
Or donors can give “Power Red,” which means red cells are collected, but most of the plasma and platelets are returned to the donor. These donors must meet specific eligibility requirements and have type A negative, B negative or O blood click here.
As a reward for giving blood, donors will receive a Fandango Movie Ticket and be automatically entered for a chance to win a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn.
