Glufosinate-ammonium was sprayed on the grass in George Wolfberg Park killing weeds and native plants, the landscaping needs to be replaced.

The George Wolfberg Park at Potrero is on Department of Recreation and Parks Facility Repair and Maintenance Commission Task Force agenda for Thursday, August 1, at 10 a.m. (or when the regular 9 a.m. meeting adjoins). Luis Sanchez is the chair and Marie Lloyd is commissioner on this committee.

The meeting will be held at Balboa Sports Complex, 17015 Burbank Blvd. in Encino. Although the meeting will also be available by teleconference,  public comments can only be made in person.
