Woman’s Club Home Tour This Sunday
The Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club will hold its 33rd Annual Home Tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 20.
Four homes will be available for viewing. Tickets may be purchased online before the event for $65; tickets the day of the event are $75. The Home Tour, which is normally held in November, was postponed because of the Woolsey Fire.
Free parking will be available at Palisades Charter High School, and tickets can be picked up at the will-call booth, located near the PaliHi parking lot and the free shuttle. Homes are accessible only by shuttle service and are not handicapped accessible.
For more information, contact club administrator Roberta Donohue at (310) 454-9012.
With proceeds from the tour, the Woman’s Club, one of the most encompassing philanthropic groups in Pacific Palisades, gives grants to community nonprofits. Last year’s grants totaled more than $38,000 and went to schools, the arts, Movies in the Park, the Fourth of July PAPA committee, the Task Force on Homelessness, Palisades Alliance for Seniors, the Garden Club and the Village Green.
Founded in 1925 as The Forum, the Woman’s Club became established in Pacific Palisades in 1926. The nonprofit organization offers all women the opportunity to engage in philanthropy, friendship and community service.
The group also hosts the town’s annual birthday luncheon for all 90- and 100-year-olds in June and the Halloween Window Painting contest for kids, while also hosting various speakers. Cindy Leuty Jones will speak on “Atomic You” on January 23, answering the question “What does it take to make us to feel good and be happy?”
Supporting the Woman’s Club, supports the community.
