A homeless individual found a spot in the Santa Monica Canyon flood control area, which feeds water to the ocean, and settled in – no air conditioning needed.
Located under Amalfi and Entrada, a neighbor reported to the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness that they saw a guy climbing a ladder to access the street. The Los Angeles Police Department Beach Detail investigated and found an individual living underneath the street next to the water.
Councilwoman Traci Park’s field deputy Michael Amster was notified and asked if the accumulated sofa bids, and other abandoned items could be removed, so they don’t end up in the ocean – if there is an unexpected rainstorm.
The man was told it was not safe and that he could not live there. He left that location on his bike, carrying his guitar.
