Senior Alliance meetings are held at the Palisades Library community room the first and third Mondays of the month at 10:30 a.m.
Property Assessment for Seniors to Be Addressed
The Palisades Alliance for Seniors meeting on Monday, October 1, will focus on “Property Assessment Information.”
Carol Quan from the L.A. County Assessor’s Office will present at 10:30 a.m. at the Palisades Library community room, 861 Alma Real Dr.
Quan will focus on three topics of particular interest to seniors: the parent-child exclusion (Props 58 and 193); the senior citizens’ replacement dwelling benefit (Props 60 and 90); and transfer of decedent’s real property.
Meetings are free, and all are welcome.
On October 15, the meeting will focus on cardiovascular disease and the November 5 meeting topic will be “Understanding Your Medicare Benefits and Rights.”
