The Malibu Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce, PaliBu, is hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting for ROCO Pizza from 4:30 to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, April 26.
Members and perspective members are urged to mix and mingle and with other local business owners at the eatery, 1060 N. Swarthmore Ave. Parking (for a nominal fee) is available on Sunset or in the parking lot, locate off the alley off Swarthmore north of Sunset.
ROCA is the latest creation of California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) Co-founder Rick Rosenfield and his wife Esther, who became enamored with Roman-style street food while on vacation in Rome.
They were stuck by the uniqueness of the crispy crust, light airy top and freshness of the ingredients, and decided to bring their reimagined version to the Palisades.
“At CPK, we always said that pizza is a canvas you can paint on and now Roman-style pizza creates the perfect canvas for today because its unique crust allows it to retain its quality when you reheat it at home,” Rosenfield said. (visit: rocapizza.com)
