Paliskates Fire Relief Jam This Satruday

Stoner Skate Park will be the site of the Fire Relief Skate Jam on Saturday.

Paliskates, a popular skate store on Swarthmore,  burned during the Palisades Fire. This Saturday, June 7 come to a Fire Relief Skate Jam from noon to 4 p.m. at Stoner Park, 1835 Stoner Avenue to support the store rebuild.

There are dozens of sponsoring organizations  and professional and amateur skateboarders who will be attending this free event.

During the afternoon there will be games of skate, best trick skate jams, autograph signings from special pros and prizes ranging from cash to a week of Skate Camp. There will be vendors and food trucks onsite.

This is to support the reopening of the local skate shop, one of the nation’s longest-running female-owned. Notable pros will be in attendance, making this an unforgettable event.

Event organizers include powerful movers in the skating industry: Heidi Lemmon (Skate Park Association International), Cindy Whitehead (Founder of Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word) and Erica Simpson (founder of Paliskates).
