The Palisades High School Flea Market and Fire Defense Fair will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the Paul Revere Sports Field, 1450 Allenford Drive.
There are two opportunities: selling and purchasing.
If you are a vendor and want to participate, contact palihigh.onlinepartybook.com for a booth space. The cost to Pali families/students is $50 (slots are sold out, but there is a waitlist). The cost to everyone else for a booth is $100 (only three slots left). The rules are simple: Vendors can sell anything EXCEPT water/weapons and expensive items. Only approved vendors can sell food.
There will be fireproofing vendors on site, fire trucks, food vendors, live music and a kid zone. The event is open to the community and all proceeds will go to support the Palisades High School booster club that provides money for team uniforms, band and choir, travel and technology—all the areas that the school and LAUSD do not provide funding.
Organizers Brian Gantwerker, Johanna Minassian, Suzanne Goldman and Patricia Chang note this is a chance for the community to come together. “This is more than just a market— there will be essential resources, safety demonstrations, and a chance to connect with your neighbors.
“Enjoy a variety of unique finds while supporting a great cause while you shop at over 50 booths of curated or vintage goods,” organizers said. “The day is surely to be a memorable one of grieving and strengthening as we come together after the fires.”
