MKPOA Annual Meeting to be Held
The Marquez Knolls Property Owner’s Association will hold its annual membership meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, in the St. Matthew’s music room (left of the church). Refreshments will be served.
According to current board president Haldis Toppel, members will be able to vote on a slate of directors and voice concerns.
“Hear the fascinating history of Marquez Knolls from historians and old-timers, and mingle with community leaders,” Toppel said in an email to Circling the News.
In a story “Marquez Knolls Developed by Lachman” written by realtor Michael Edlen, “Nearly all the up slope Marquez properties have deed restrictions to protect views, and most included provisions regarding second stories, and heights of trees. Membership in the homeowner’s association is voluntary, and it takes an active role in other issues such as fire and crime protection.
“The area includes about 1,500 homes,” Edlen wrote.
