The Pacific Palisades Community Council will hold its regular meeting, via Zoom at 6 p.m. on February 27. In addition to Governmental representatives, the Council will host a special presentation: “The Path to Reconstruction” with Leo Marmol, the managing partner of Marmol-Radziner. He will be joined by studio director Jonathan Schnure.
There will be a report on donations towards the Palisades recovery/building.
A motion will be made for Board approval of a statement and request regarding CC&Rs and retaining walls: A motion to support a Councilmember Traci Park’s motion for a report back on creation of a Climate Resiliency District (originally recommended by the WRAC board): and a motion to support Park’s motion for a report back on inspection and repair of fire hydrants.
A Climate Resilience District (CRD) is a new type of financing district available to local governments and special districts across California CRDs foster collaboration among local governments, businesses, and residents to develop resilient regional planning, improve disaster preparedness, and promote environmental sustainability.
Public comments are invited and speakers will be limited to one minute.
