Friends of the Library Book Sale on June 1

Will Benefit Readers–and the Branch Library

Friends of the Palisades Library will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, in the library parking lot, 861 Alma Real.

Hundreds of nearly-new fiction and non-fiction, art books, cookbooks, coffee-table books, DVDs and CDs at bargain prices will be sold. There will be many children’s books and cookbooks, all in almost new condition.

Credit cards, cash and checks will be accepted.

“Our gently used book sales continue to enjoy success due to the remarkable generosity of those who donate a wonderful variety of books in great condition,” said co-organizer Wendy Edlen. “We are grateful for the support and for those patrons who are always pleased to find just what they are looking for, even what is unexpected, at our parking lot sales.”

Friends board member Sandy Eddy added, “There are many beautiful books in this sale according to volunteers who have been helping with preparations.”

All proceeds from the sales are donated by the Friends of the Palisades Library to help our public library purchase new books, DVDs and CDs that benefit everybody.
