
Portable classrooms have been placed in the lower play yard of Marquez Elementary, while a new school is constructed on the upper yard.
Lorena Padilla-Melendez the Director of the Community Relations Department for the LAUSD Facilities Services Division announced that Los Angeles Unified School District is holding community meetings this week to discuss the two elementary and the high school that were damaged by the Palisades Fire.
Erica Gass is the lead organizer for the two elementary schools, Palisades and Marquez and Arlene Osoria is the lead for Palisades Charter High School.
The purpose of the meetings is to introduce the architectural teams and to discuss the designs.
