CAR REPAIR

Gosh…I am so disappointed we are losing our service garages…both! In this age of ‘sustainability’ it was always such a convenience not to have to leave the Palisades to get our cars repaired…

A reader wrote: I believe everyone currently still up in the village area were properly installed under valid permits, though several clearly have been abandoned in the last few years, and two are broken. The vendors who operate them no longer have resources available to repair those that are damaged, nor can they even easily remove them.
However, many of them still serve legitimate purposes of distribution: the Palisadian-Post, Palisades News and Digs Magazine in particular.
PROPOSED DOG PARK
About the proposed dog park on Temescal Canyon Road, a resident wrote: “If you have lived on the edge of a canyon, you hear things that others do not. Sound originating on the canyon floor echoes so easily to the homes above that you can hear individual conversations. A cacophony of dogs in a canyon dog park on a daily basis would be intolerable.”
CLEAN OUT THE CLOSETS
The Pacific Palisades Woman’s Club is accepting donations for its October 1 rummage sale. All proceeds from the sale, help local nonprofits.
The club will take donations at 901 Haverford Avenue on Monday, August 8, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Monday, August 15, 9 to 11 a.m.; Saturday, August 20, 9 to 11 a.m. and Tuesday, August 30, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
