JUST A NOTE:
This editor usually posts most of the comments sent in . . .unless they attack another person. Just a reminder, this is not the social media site, where people freely weigh in without fact checking. That site is usually filled with whoppers as people argue back and forth. Just because you have suspicions it does not make it a fact. And a side note the gatherings at the Hive are generally congenial, it’s a group of about 12 people who regularly get together and compare notes. Often were joined by people who can only come once in a while. Today there were 20 people. We learned that four people still have not been compensated entirely by State Farm. This editor thinks it has become kind of like the show “Cheers” where people go because everyone knows your name.
BLUEBERRY PLANT:
This editor wrote about the three blueberry plants that were by the bedroom window of her home on Radcliffe and how she bought a new plant at Home Depot and hoped to keep it alive on the balcony long enough to plant it back in the yard. A reader wrote “I don’t think the Zone 0 madness allows for planting against the house.” This editor pointed out that it wasn’t the blueberry bush, well-watered, that burned the house down. Most likely it was the wood window frames or the wood fences between my home and my neighbors (both sides) and the fact that no one was spraying water on the houses, even though my neighbors had swimming pools to supply the water.
KEEP BLAMING AN ARSON:
It’s all over the news that Jonathan Rinderknect couldn’t get a date for New Year’s Eve and that was the reason he started the January 1 fire. 1) He also tried to call 911 several times after the fire started; 2) fireworks were shot in the area about the same time; 3) the fire was never completely put out and reignited six days later; 4) someone (City, State, DWP) is anxious to pin the January 7, 2025 fire on an arsonist. Why?
NEW NAME:
A resident wrote to tell me that the Santa Ynez Reservoir had been renamed . .. .to Bass Lake.
