Sign Up for Palisades Free Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22

For most Pacific Palisades residents this year, Thanksgiving will be different. Sure we’ll still run in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 27 (click here), but cooking and sharing the annual meal with family and friends will be problematic for most because homes, china and linens were destroyed in the Palisades Fire.

The Lowe Family YMCA (formerly Palisades Malibu YMCA) is offering an exciting alternative – and you don’t have to shop, cook or clean up.

Join 200 of your fellow residents for a free traditional Thanksgiving Dinner in Simon Meadow from noon to three on Saturday, November 22. Simon Meadow is located at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Temescal Canyon Road.

The first ever Community Thanksgiving Meal will be an inclusive gathering for individuals and families of the Palisades and offer a chance to connect in the spirit of gratitude and community.

Y Executive Director Jim Kirtley said,  “At the Lowe Family YMCA, we know that healing trauma starts by building strong community supports and connections that promote empathy, open communication, shared experiences and a sense of normalcy.”
