In Los Angeles, 22 people were arrested for illegal gambling

Los Angeles police officers recently conducted a major operation, arresting 22 people connected to illegal gambling. City officials received several anonymous reports of suspicious gambling and drug trafficking activity at 10122 S. Figueroa St. The location is in a small shopping complex with a laundromat, a tire store, and a tobacco store. However, police would not disclose which store was involved in the illegal activity.

In response to reports received of possible offenses, police launched an investigation and decided to conduct an operation. On Thursday evening, around 8 pm, officers from various LAPD departments searched the facility. During the search, they found several illegal slot machines, as well as drugs and two firearms. Police said the operation resulted in the arrest or indictment of 22 people involved in the crimes. They were charged with illegal gambling, drug possession, and weapons violations.

Those arrested included men and women between the ages of 30 and 42. Police officials reported that they were all residents of Los Angeles. Some of those detained are Rafael Casanova, 35; Noah Cabrera, 30; Magic Brooks, 39; Tamarra Johnson, 42; Dunya Pedromo-Martinez, 36; Carolyn Serrano, 31; and Myra Serrano, 34. These individuals were apprehended on serious charges for their involvement in criminal activity.

The LAPD also released photos taken during the operation. They show several gaming tables in a dark room where illegal gambling activity was taking place. One of the tables was even located outdoors. There were also several roulette tables in the casino. Statistics show this game has been the most popular in recent months. This is not only true in land-based casinos but also the iGaming industry. If you study the most significant gambling-related informational site, you can find a lot of online casinos with roulette. Therefore, it is not surprising that the owners of this land-based establishment have invested in this game.

Police said the operation was an essential step in the fight against gambling and drug-related crime. Detentions and arrests related to these activities are part of Los Angeles authorities’ efforts to improve security in the South Los Angeles area and prevent the spread of illegal operations.

This operation was another reminder of the importance of identifying and addressing illegal gambling-related activities. Recently, police have been increasingly focusing on reducing crime in the city and ensuring that illegal activities do not go unpunished.
