It’s All about the Heart
On Monday, October 15, the Palisades Alliance for Seniors will feature a speaker and a topic that will be of interest to more than the community’s seniors.
The subject is “Cardiovascular Disease,” with speaker Patty Sheehan. The program starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Palisades Library community room, 851 Alma Real. The program is free and open to the general public.
Sheehan is the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center’s Intermediate Care Unit, which provides comprehensive care to patients with acute needs for continuous cardiac monitoring.
She will discuss risk factors, symptoms and treatments for the diseases and conditions associated with stroke, angina and heart attack.
