Email providers sometimes mistake our newsletter for spam. Follow these simple, up-to-date steps to make sure you never miss an issue.

Gmail (Web)

Best method: create a filter. Also clear spam and add us to Contacts for extra reliability.

Step A — Create a Filter (Most Reliable — Do This First)

Click the ⚙ gear icon → “See all settings”

Found in the top right corner of Gmail.

Click the “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab

Click “Create a new filter”

Found near the bottom of the page.

Enter our address in the “From” field

Type [email protected] then click “Create filter”.

Check “Never send it to Spam”

Optionally also check “Always mark it as important” for extra priority.

Click “Create filter” to save

Done! Gmail will now always deliver our emails to your inbox.

This filter method is the most permanent and reliable way to whitelist in Gmail. The steps below are additional but optional.

Step B — If you found us in Spam

Open your Spam folder

Look for an email from [email protected].

Click “Report not spam”

This trains Gmail’s filter and moves the email to your Inbox.

Step C — If we appear in the Promotions tab

Open the Promotions tab

Find an email from us in the Promotions tab.

Drag it to the Primary tab

Click and drag our email from Promotions directly onto the “Primary” tab.

Click “Yes” in the yellow alert

Gmail will ask to do this for all future messages — click Yes.

Step D — Add us to Contacts

Open any email from us

Click the three-dot menu (⋮)

Next to the Reply button in the upper right of the email header.

Select “Add to Contacts list”

If this option doesn’t appear, you’ve already added us — you’re all set!

Gmail Mobile App

For Android and iPhone users of the Gmail app.

Move to Primary inbox

Find our email

Check your Spam or Promotions tab inside the Gmail app.

Tap the three-dot menu

Tap the ⋮ icon at the top right of the open email screen.

Tap “Move to”

Select “Primary”

All future emails from us will arrive in your Primary inbox tab automatically.

If our email already appears in your Primary inbox tab, you’re all set — no action needed.
The Gmail mobile app does not support creating filters. For the most reliable fix, log into Gmail on a computer and follow the Gmail (Web) steps to create a filter.

Add us to Contacts (extra reliability)

Open any email from us

Tap the sender’s profile icon or name

A contact card will pop up at the bottom of the screen.

Tap “Add to Contacts”

This tells Gmail you trust this sender.

Yahoo! Mail

Mark as not spam, create a filter, and add us to Contacts.

Step A — If you found us in Spam

Open your Spam folder

Click “Not Spam”

Yahoo will automatically allow future emails from the same address into your inbox.

In Yahoo Mail, all emails pass through the spam filter before any other filters apply. Filters alone may not prevent our emails from landing in spam — we recommend doing all three steps.

Step B — Create a Filter

Click the ⚙ Gear icon → More Settings

Choose “Filters” on the left panel

Click “Add new filters”

Name the filter

Enter Whitelist CTN in the Filter name field.

Set the condition

Select contains, then enter [email protected].

Set destination to Inbox, then click Save

Step C — Add us to Contacts

Click the Contacts icon in the left sidebar

Click “Add new contact”

Enter our details and save

Apple Mail (Mac)

Create a rule to always deliver CTN emails to your inbox.

Create a mail rule

Open the Mail app on your Mac

Go to Mail → Settings (or Preferences on older macOS)

Click Mail in the top menu bar, then select Settings (macOS Ventura+) or Preferences (older versions).

Click “Rules” → “Add Rule”

Name the rule

Type Whitelist: Circlingthenews.com in the description field.

Set the condition

Dropdown: any → From → Ends with → enter @circlingthenews.com

Set the action

Choose: Move Message → to mailbox: Inbox

Click OK to save
If you have multiple rules, drag this rule to the top of the list. Apple Mail runs rules in order — placing it first ensures it takes priority.

Outlook Mobile App

For Android, iOS, and Windows phone users of the Outlook app.

Move to Focused inbox

Open any email from us

If our email appears in your “Other” inbox, open it.

Tap the dropdown menu (⋮)

Tap the three-dot icon at the top right of the email.

Tap “Move to Focused Inbox”

Select “Move this and all future messages”

Press Move

All CTN emails will now arrive in your Focused Inbox.

Outlook 2016 & Office 365

Add us to Safe Senders via Junk E-mail Options.

Add to Safe Senders

Open Outlook on your computer

Go to Home → Junk → Junk E-mail Options

In the Home tab, click the Junk icon, then select “Junk E-mail Options”.

Click the “Safe Senders” tab

Click Add… and enter our domain

Type @Circlingthenews.com and click OK.

Using the full domain ensures all emails from our site reach you, even if we update our sending address.

Outlook.com / Hotmail / MSN / Windows Live

All these services use the same steps.

Add to Safe Senders

Click the blue ⚙ gear icon

Located in the top right corner of your inbox.

Click “View all Outlook settings”

At the bottom of the Quick Settings panel.

Navigate to Mail → Junk email

Add to Safe senders and domains

Type circlingthenews.com and press Enter.

Add to Safe mailing lists

Also add [email protected] and press Enter.

Add to Allowed Senders

From your Inbox, go to Options

Click “Allowed and Blocked Senders”

Found under the Junk e-mail section.

Type our address and click “Add to List”

Enter [email protected] and click Add to List.

Mark as not spam and add Sue Pascoe to your Contacts.

Step A — If you found us in Spam

Find our email in Spam

Right-click and select “Not Spam”

This restores the email and helps train AOL’s filter.

Step B — Add to Contacts

Click “Contacts” on the left sidebar

Click the New Contact icon

Comcast Webmail / Xfinity

Mark as not spam and add us to your Address Book.

Step A — If you found us in Spam

Log into your Xfinity account

Find our email in the spam folder and open it

Click “Not Spam” in the top toolbar

Step B — Add to Address Book

Open any email from us

Click the button at the top left of the toolbar

Press “Add to Address Book”

This will open the edit contact screen.
