Chance to Share One’s
The Palisades Positive Aging Group has been meeting since February 2018, and after a short holiday break, will resume on January 9.
The group meets every Wednesday morning from 10 to 11:30 in the Fireside room of the Palisades Lutheran Church. The winter meetings are often accompanied by a warm fire.
The group sits in a circle and begins each discussion with a brief meditation and group check in. Then, facilitator Kane Phelps invites group members to share stories related to a particular theme. Themes have included life purpose, hopes, dreams, fun, laughter, grief, loss, health and well-being, all related to the aging process.
The group has become a caring community that supports each other as life’s challenges present themselves. New members are welcome, and a second group may be forming to meet on Thursday morning. There is a modest fee to participate.
As preregistration is required, anyone interested should contact Kane Phelps, LMFT, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (310) 573-9771.
